The Health Insurance Crisis..
Seniors

The inability to secure quality health insurance has truly become a crisis for many in the great State of Texas. Every alternative under consideration has its own set of consequence. Those without group health insurance benefits are at the greatest risk. As we age the cost of health insurance sky rockets. Health insurance has become so expensive that almost all employers require employees to pay part of their premium. And, many small firms no longer offer health insurance benefits at all. This places aging workers in the uncomfortable position of having to seek expensive individual health insurance.

Those with special medical problems, like diabetes or a history of cancer, often are simply uninsurable. There is a safety net for the poor. But, the middle class wage earner in their late 50's or early 60's is often just out of luck. The cost of insurance from the Texas Risk Pool is simply too great to afford. So, often it comes down to taking a big risk and waiting until they qualify for Medicare. It's a formula for personal financial disaster. And, its a huge issue for our state and our country.

A growing percentage of the huge baby boomer demographic is feeling the pinch in a big way. As time goes on even more will experience job changes and medical problems that push them to the limit. Look for this issue to play a major role in the next national election.

Historically, health and life insurance applications have been processed via hard copy - paper. But, today internet based customer portals provide a more secure and less error prone avenue for customer application data entry. During 2006 I made changes to my web site to take advantage of this new technology. At present my www.quotes2go.net web site provides convenient, hassle free, shopping and direct access to health insurance customer portals. During 2007 I'll expand this capability to Life Insurance and other insurance products as carriers implement new portals.

Using www.quotes2go.net consumers can shop for health insurance and apply on line right now. Applications are confirmed by the insurance company and processed by underwriting in the shortest possible time. And, the Identity Theft and handling error risk associated with paper application forms are no longer a cause of concern. If you haven't already tried it, give it a spin at www.quotes2go.net.
