Diabetes is an automatic decline for all major carriers. Health Insurance alternatives are few for diabetes sufferer.
Here's a brief summary of the most commonly accessed alternatives:
1) Group Health Insurance
Many employers offer group coverage to their employees. So, if you have a job or can get a job, you may be able to participate in your employer's group insurance plan. However, there may be a one year prior condition exclusions. If you have been employed within the last 60 days you may be eligible for continuation of your employer's group health plan under COBRA.

3) Medicare. If you qualify for medicare, this may be your best option.
4) Medicaid. If your financial circumstances warrant. You may qualify for this option.
